Found in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco and around 400 million years old, these nautiloids are fossilised in black limestone and had a bullet-like shell.
Nautiloids are a group of marine cephalopods which originated in the Late Cambrian. They flourished during the early Palaeozoic era, when they constituted the main predatory animals.
Dimensions approx.: all the nautiloids are unique so may not look exactly like the image. 4.3 x 2.5cm but some are smaller and some are larger.
