Creswell Crags is home to Britain's only known Ice Age rock art. You can now create your very own cave art with this fabulous Cave Art Kit!

Ochres and earth pigments are naturally occurring coloured clays that have been used for thousands of years. They were used to make the prehistoric cave paintings of Lascaux and Altamira. 

Earth pigments continue to be used by tribal peoples across the world for everyday purposes and in sacred art. 

The kit consists of four bags of earth pigments (red ochre, 2 different yellow ochres, and white clay), charcoal, a red ochre drawing stick and an information sheet. 

These earth pigments are lightfast and permanent and can be mixed with water, oils, paints, glues, gums, waxes, or plaster to give strong, soft, beautiful colours.
