Barbed and Tang Arrowhead
Tax included.
2450-1600 BC Late Neolithic- Early Bronze Age
An iconic type of flint arrowhead that would have been bound to an arrow shaft using deer sinew binding and birch tar glue. The barbed and tang arrowheads were carefully designed. Once the point had pierced the flesh, the barbs meant the arrowhead would not fall out.
This replica tool has been handmade and so there is a variation in size from 4-5 cm. The item received may be slightly different in colour/appearance to the image due to natural variations in the flint rock.
The barbed and tang arrowhead is sharp and should only be purchased by people over the age of 18. This tool is not a toy.
Dimensions approx.: 4.5 x 3cm
